JEREMY PIVEN suffered a travel nightmare on Saturday (09May15) after bad weather grounded his flight from London to New York.
The Entourage star was heading to the Big Apple when a storm hit the city and the British Airways plane was rerouted to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
After landing at Philadelphia International Airport, passengers faced a nervous wait on the tarmac, and after three hours they were released into the terminal building to continue waiting.
Piven detailed his nightmare journey in a series of posts on Twitter.com, writing, “JFK (airport) wouldn’t let us land so we had to fly to Philly. Just had enough fuel, strange times indeed. Grateful we made it, now how to get home… Holding us for a total of 7 hours on the ground when immigration opens… Sitting next to a nice group of men who are all barefoot and cackling so I have that going for me…”
He later added, “We all made the most of it, people dealt with in a calm way, thanks for your concern…”
A representative for British Airways has since confirmed the stranded passengers eventually were able to continue their journey to New York, telling the New York Daily News, “We’re very sorry for the delay to our customers’ journey but safety is always our top priority. All of our customers are now on their way to their destinations.”
