Once a picky eater, Kindie Rocker Dre Towey chooses food as a means of expression on her witty new album ‘In A Pickle’. Featured track “You Are What You Eat” is a playful interpretation of how we, as consumers, approach food. In jest, the song/video is meant to educate families on what we eat. The song is one of 15 tracks, intended to provide food for thought and to stimulate discussion and digestion. The CD itself is an eclectic mix of traditional and original songs featuring Dre’s vocals and guitar (think Brandi Carlile meets Shel Silverstein) backed by the stellar musicality of Grammy-winning Dean Jones and The Fleas (Dog On Fleas). As always, Towey’s children are at the heart of her music, the tracks ‘Jellyface’ and ‘Criss Cross Applesauce’ will resonate with any parent. No bones about it, ‘In a Pickle’ should bring a giggle to your gaggle this holiday season. A claymation video for Towey’s track ‘You Are What You Eat’ debuted via Huffington Post. Bon Appetit!
