Set in the beautiful beaches of Australia, this comedic thriller is a series of twisted pandemonium on its way to sheer mayhem. It allows these engaging actors to scale their footing in a plot that is both edgy and thoroughly riveting.
First, the plot kicks off with a labyrinth of unexpected turns as, Charlie Wolfe, played by Simon Pegg, finds himself in a series of wanted, yet unwanted predicaments in the series of just a single day. His villainous ways and witty humor allow the audience to thrillingly watch in suspension as he moves through his compelling routine only to find himself accompanied by others in his dilemma. This cleverly constructed set of events keeps the audience engaged and wondering what could possibly happen next!
Secondly, the gorgeous backdrop of the Gold Coast is a pristine, yet a perfectly contrary set up for the chaos that is destined to emerge. The director, Kriv Stenders’ choice to use the conflicting beauty of the setting with the commotion of the day’s activities is outstanding, and really allows the audience to feel as though they are a part of this beautiful surf town while inhabiting the lives of these people.
Finally, the cast of KILL ME THREE TIMES is absolutely sensational! Lucy and Nathan Webb, played by Teresa Palmer and Sullivan Stapleton, also find themselves in link with Mr. Wolfe for a whole set of other reasons. Their appealing performances take the audience by surprise with an exciting turn of events. Alice Taylor, Jack Taylor, and Dylan Smith, played by Alice Braga, Callan Mulvey, and Luke Hemsworth, stunned the audience with their own surprising and tangled love triangle. Throughout the film we are pleased to see Bryan Brown, who plays the trying-to-get-a-piece, corrupt cop in the middle of it all, Bruce Jones.
Director, Kriv Stenders and writer, James McFarland, as well as their team, accompanied with the great plot, backdrop, and cast have really outdone themselves on this hit film. Will all of this havoc lead to a modern tale of Romeo and Juliet, or is everything about to explode in their faces? A must-see movie, and completely riveting all the way to the end!
